Giancarlo Stanton Hits Three-Run Shot
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton hit a three-run home run Friday, but it wasn't enough to secure the victory, as the Boston Red Sox won the game 5-4 in 11 innings. Stanton was 2-for-5 in the contest. He now has 24 home runs on the season to go with an .828 OPS, 37 runs scored, and 61 RBI. Stanton's been having his slowest month of the season in July, slashing .176/.222/.471 in 54 plate appearances, but even in his worst moments Stanton is still always a threat to go deep, and he's launched five home runs in that same span. He's among the best power options fantasy managers can find.
