2 years agoThe New York Yankees placed outfielder and designated hitter Giancarlo Stanton (Achilles) on the 10-day injured list on Tuesday due to left Achilles tendonitis. The move was made retroactive to Sunday, July 24. Stanton is hitting .229 with a .309 on-base percentage in 328 plate appearances for the Yankees this season. He's also connected on 24 home runs in those 328 plate appearances. New York recalled outfielder Tim Locastro from Triple-A to take Stanton's place on the active roster.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
