Giancarlo Stanton Resumes Baseball Activities
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (Achilles), who is on the injured list with Achilles tendinitis, has resumed baseball activities, but skipper Aaron Boone said there is no timetable for his return to the team. Stanton has been on the shelf since July 23, so he'll almost certainly require a minor league rehab assignment before the Yankees reinstate him from the injured list. The 32-year-old right-handed slugger needs to remain stashed in all fantasy leagues in the meantime. Before the injury, he was slashing .228/.309/.498 with an .807 OPS, 24 home runs, 61 RBI and 40 runs scored in 328 plate appearances over 80 games played for the Bronx Bombers.
