Giancarlo Stanton’s Calf Feels Back To Normal
4 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Giancarlo Stanton (calf) is reportedly back to 100% and expects to be the team’s designated hitter for the start of the season. A calf strain has bothered Stanton since early March, so it’s encouraging that he’s finally back to feeling normal. The Yankees appear likely to exercise caution and use Stanton as their primary DH to start the season, leaving left field open for some combination of Brett Gardner, Mike Tauchman and Miguel Andujar. Stanton was the DH for the Yankees in just over half of his games in 2018, and he seems likely to be used similarly this year.
