6 years agoWith just a day to go before the important Aug. 31 deadline, the San Francisco Giants have traded outfielder Andrew McCutchen to the Yankees in exchange for two minor league players, per MLB.com's Bryan Hoch. The currently disclosed player the Giants received is infielder Abiatal Avelino. The 23-year-old has posted a combined .287/.333/.446 slash line with 15 home runs, 66 RBI, and 25 stolen bases in 123 games with Double-A Trenton and Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre. Avelino looks like he could bring some pop and speed to fantasy teams and now, with a clearer path to the big leagues, may be worth a look in dynasty leagues.--Connelly Doan - RotoBaller
