7 years agoThe San Francisco Giants are calling up outfield prospect Chris Shaw from Triple-A Sacramento on Friday, according to a source. With Andrew McCutchen traded to the Yankees on Thursday night, it makes sense for the Giants to give Shaw some run in the final month of the season after he hit .259 with 24 home runs and 65 RBI in 101 games on the farm. The team's No. 4 prospect also struck out 144 times and walked just 21 times, though, so he could struggle a bit in his first taste of the big leagues. Shaw is a candidate to own in dynasty/keeper formats, but he might only be an NL-only option the rest of the way in 2018.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
