3 years agoThe New York Giants are finalizing a deal to hire former Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Don Martindale as their new defensive coordinator on Tuesday, according to a source. Martindale will fill the void left last week when Patrick Graham left for the defensive coordinator position with the Las Vegas Raiders. The 58-year-old Martindale spent the last 10 seasons with the Ravens. He was their D coordinator for four years before he parted ways with Baltimore last month. Martindale's defense in Baltimore ranked No. 1 in his first year in 2018, and his units posted top-10 finishes in each of the following two seasons. The Ravens defense struggled in 2021, mainly due to injuries, leading to Martindale's departure.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
