2 years agoThe New York Giants hosted free-agent running back Devontae Booker on a tryout on Friday. Booker was released by the Giants earlier this offseason in a move to save salary cap space, but he ran well for the team in 2021. The 30-year-old had 145 carries for 593 yards (4.1 yards per carry) and two touchdowns on the ground, adding a career-high 40 receptions for 268 yards and another TD through the air in 16 games (four starts). Matt Breida is currently the team's top backup behind Saquon Barkley, but the Giants may consider re-signing Booker to provide some extra backfield insurance this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
