7 years agoThe New York Giants and head coach Pat Shurmur plan to evaluate quarterback Davis Webb during the team's three-day minicamp that starts Tuesday. Webb is expected to see a heavy workload as he gets his first real opportunity to show the new coaching staff that he belongs on the roster. “It will be a great way for Davis to sorta showcase what he can do,’’ Shurmur said. “We don’t have a full 90-man roster so he’s gonna get a lot of reps and he probably would anyways. I don’t want to make this sound like it’s a showcase for Webb, but as a guy we’re interested in seeing, he’s certainly gonna get his fair share of the reps.’’ Davis is a third-round pick last year that didn't see any game action in the regular season. It might be a mute point, though, as the Giants are fully expected to draft a quarterback early in this year's draft.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
