6 years agoThe San Francisco Giants are calling up starting pitcher Tyler Beede and he will make the start Thursday against the Miami Marlins. Beede has pitched well this year in Triple-A with a ridiculous 12.72 K/9 and 2.34 ERA through seven starts. What makes this all the more impressive is the fact that offense is way up this year in the Pacific Coast League. His first three appearances for the Giants early in the year did not go well, but Beede has the chance to stick with the big club for a little longer if he can find his form against a less-than-threatening Marlins lineup, and he could be a decent streaming option Thursday in deeper leagues.--Joseph Magazzinich
