5 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Gio Gonzalez (shoulder) threw a successful bullpen session Thursday and will likely return to the lineup and start on Saturday against the Chicago Cubs. Gonzalez has posted decent numbers through 41 1/3 innings this season, compiling 36 strikeouts, a 3.48 ERA, 1.16 WHIP, and solid 3.30 FIP to back him up. While not top of the rotation numbers, he could prove to be a solid streaming option down the stretch and maybe even wiggle himself onto the radars of owners in 12-team leagues.--Joseph Magazzinich
