Gio Urshela Day-To-Day With A Bone Spur

4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela (elbow) is sitting for the team’s first game on Friday and is day-to-day with a bone spur in his elbow. The Yankees appear to be optimistic that Urshela will avoid a stint on the injured list, but fantasy players should expect the third baseman to miss at least a couple of games. Miguel Andujar is likely to start in Urshela’s place as long as Urshela remains sidelined, and Andujar is likely to see fairly consistent playing time for the foreseeable future with the Yankees beat up all over the field. That makes Andujar worth picking up in deeper leagues, especially if he manages to hit his way into consistent playing time for the rest of the season.--Sam Chinitz
