4 years agoNew York Yankees third baseman Gio Urshela was scratched from the team's lineup on Friday for undisclosed reasons. Urshela injured his neck while sliding during Wednesday's game, but the Yankees gave no indication that Urshela would miss any time from that injury, and Urshela was scratched about an hour after the original lineup was released on Friday, so the third baseman's issue and timeline remain unclear for now. Infielder Tyler Wade is starting in Urshela's place on Friday and will likely continue to do so if Urshela misses extended time.--Sam Chinitz
