3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers head coach Bruce Arians said running back Giovani Bernard "has been pretty good" and is "going to be a major part of this offense." The former Cincinnati Bengal signed a one-year, $1.2 million contract after compiling 771 scrimmage yards in 2021, including 47 catches for 355 receiving yards. He has been a standout in training camp and is expected to have a vital role in the offense in 2021. Leonard Fournette and Ronald Jones figure to see most of the early-down work while Bernard handles third-down snaps. Based on Arians' recent comments, the 29-year-old could see some early-down work as well. Bernard has more fantasy value in PPR formats, especially with QB Tom Brady frequently targeting running backs in the passing game.
