Golden Tate In A Sneaky Value Spot
5 years agoNew York Giants wide receiver Golden Tate may find himself in a sneaky value spot on Thursday night in just his second game with the team. With Sterling Shepard out with his second concussion of the season and tight end Evan Engram battling a knee issue, Tate may become the central focus of the passing game. Now, Bill Belichick has a history of scheming away a team's top option, but given that this is a short week, and the Giants have so many injury question marks, it seems unlikely the Patriots target Tate. He'll run most of his routes in the slot, which means he'll avoid Stephon Gilmore's coverage, and the Giants should be down and throwing often. He makes for an intriguing WR3 dart throw in PPR of half-PPR leagues.
