Grand Jury Considering Criminal Charge Against Deshaun Watson
3 years agoA grand jury in Brazoria County, Texas, is considering a possible criminal charge against Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson, according to attorney Tony Buzbee. It's one of the more than 20 sexual-assault allegations against Watson, and a final decision is expected to be made in court on Friday. The Browns apparently were aware of the second grand jury before trading for him, but this adds another layer to Watson's off-the-field issues as we approach the 2022 season. Even if no criminal charge comes down against him, the NFL could suspend the 26-year-old dual-threat signal-caller this year. If Watson is forced to miss more games in 2022, Jacoby Brissett would be making starts for the Browns. UPDATE: A second grand jury in Texas has decided no criminal charges against Watson.
