4 years agoCleveland Browns rookie free safety Grant Delpit has been placed on Injured Reserve in the wake of having ruptured his Achilles tendon during practice Monday on a non-contact play. The move to shift Delpit to the IR cleared the way for claiming defensive end Curtis Weaver off of waivers from Miami. Without Delpit, the team’s projected starting free safety, in the mix, expect veteran Andrew Sendejo to have the best opportunity at claiming the starting gig. The Browns Defense was already a shaky fantasy option prior to Delpit’s injury, and his season-ending injury is another reason to look elsewhere in season-long drafts.--Jesse Borek
