5 years agoThe Arizona Diamondbacks have designated Greg Holland for assignment according to Robert Murray of The Athletic. Holland has struggled since the beginning of July, posting an 11.42 ERA with 11 hits and 11 walks to nine strikeouts over 8 2/3 innings of work while going 5-for-8 in save opportunities. There is no word yet on who will grab the closer's role for Arizona, but the two likely candidates are Yoan Lopez and Archie Bradley, with Bradley the potential leader after earning the last two saves for Arizona..--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
