6 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Greg Holland (hip) was activated from the disabled list Tuesday. He was recovering from a hip injury. Something was definitely off about Holland's performance at the beginning of the year, but it could have been rust from being signed so late. Holland has an 0-2 record this season. His ERA is an inflated 9.45. With the likes of Jordan Hicks and Bud Norris pitching so well, Holland will have a tough time seeing consistent work. It's hard to predict his value, because even if he gets time, there's no guarantee he does well. Don't rush to get Holland until he proves he can pitch well and compete for a late-inning role.--Blake Sullivan
