6 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco went 1-for-4 with a home run and an RBI in Thursday's 6-1 victory over Atlanta. Polanco got off to a good start to the game, hammering a hanging curveball from Braves starter Mike Foltynewicz 399 feet over the right field wall to give the Pirates a 3-1 lead. He struck out twice more and now has struck out 37 times in 131 at-bats for an awful 28.2 percent rate. However, the 27-year-old left fielder has five hits in his last 14 at-bats to raise his batting average .014 points since the end of May to .260 for the season.--Daniel Benjamin
