Gregory Polanco Homers In Loss Tuesday
3 years agoPittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco went 1-for-4 with a home run, two RBI and a run scored in an 11-6 loss to the Diamondbacks on Tuesday night. It was his 10th homer of the year, as he's now slashing .202/.282/.373 with nine steals, 25 RBI and 25 runs scored over 74 games. While it is a slight increase in production from last year, Polanco's numbers are still a far cry from what he used to put up at the plate. He has heated up a bit at the plate over his last seven games, slashing .308/.471/.615 with one home run, one steal, two RBI and two runs scored. It's a good start, and if he can continue to swing the hot bat then he could become fantasy relevant once more, but for now he can be left on the waiver wire.
