Gregory Polanco Hoping for Bounce-Back Season After Dropping Weight
7 years agoTalented Pittsburgh Pirates outfielder Gregory Polanco has yet to live up to his potential, but he's hoping 2018 is the year it happens. In a story by The Athletic's Rob Biertempfel, Polanco mentioned that he lost weight in the offseason, believing his bulkiness led to an injury-filled season last year. The Pirates right fielder has looked healthy in limited spring action thus far, going 2-for-3 with a home run. After his poor showing last season in which he hit just .251/.305/.391 and had three separate stints on the disabled list, Polanco is not going high in fantasy drafts, with a current ADP of 156. However, he still has plenty of potential, and his power-speed combo makes him a value pick if he can stay on the field.
