7 years agoBoth Oakland Raiders wide receivers Griff Whalen and Ryan Switzer have been working out of the slot, but Whalen has worked ahead of Switzer in practices. The two are both undersized slot men with experience in the return game. “It’s neck-and-neck with those guys. When Seth Roberts gets back, it’s a very competitive position at the slot," head coach Jon Gruden said. Keon Hatcher, Johnny Holton and Dwayne Harris could also make cases for the final roster. The Raiders are expected to keep no fewer than six wideouts heading into Week 1. This is a battle for the No. 4 receiving job behind Amari Cooper, Jordy Nelson and Martavis Bryant. Whalen and Switzer are unlikely to come into fantasy relevance unless an injury occurs ahead of them.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
