5 years agoLos Angeles Angels starting pitcher Griffin Canning (elbow) is facing live hitters on Friday at the first day of the team's summer camp workouts. The 24-year-old was shut down back in March with elbow issues. But the promising pitcher is now trending in the right direction after receiving a platelet-rich plasma injection. The Angels invested a lot in their offense this offseason, but one of the biggest questions on the team remains the pitching staff. Canning's progression should be handled cautiously, but he is trending towards being able to contribute when/if the season gets underway, which would make him a flier in the later rounds of fantasy drafts.--Joey C - RotoBaller
