4 years agoLos Angeles Angels starter Griffin Canning will take the mound Thursday against the Mariners. Canning is coming off a solid month of May, posting a 3-1 record with a 3.60 ERA over his last five starts. The right-handed starter will have a favorable matchup Thursday against a Seattle lineup that Canning tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings with nine strikeouts against on May 1. Canning has allowed four home runs over his last three starts but, for the season, has struck out 45 hitters through 40 innings pitched.
