Gus Edwards Back Over 100 Yards Rushing Mark
6 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back Gus Edwards racked up 104 rushing yards and a touchdown on 19 carries in Sunday's (20-12) victory over the Buccaneers. His 10-yard third quarter touchdown scamper gave the Ravens a 17-9 lead. It marked the first time in the past three contests that the rookie topped the 100-yard mark and the third time this season he has accomplished the feat. However, it was only his second time reaching the end zone. The 23-year-old, who averaged 5.5 yards per attempt, ran exceptionally well as he had seven carries that accumulated at least five yards, including a long of 26 yards, which is his longest of the campaign. Edwards still has not been tackled behind the line scrimmage yet this year. The Rutgers product has a solid matchup in Week 16 against the Chargers, who have permitted the 12th most fantasy points to opposing running backs as they have allowed 11 rushing touchdowns.
