5 years agoThe Columbus Blue Jackets signed free-agent right wing Gustav Nyquist (Sharks) to a four-year contract with an average annual value of $5.5 million. The 29-year-old Swede was traded from the Red Wings to the Sharks at the trade deadline last season after spending six-plus seasons in Hockeytown. He posted 22 goals with a career-high 60 points across 81 games between the two organizations. He has settled into the 50-60 point range consistently over his past six seasons, and he'll be a nice addition in Columbus, especially for a team looking to replace Matt Duchene and Artemi Panarin.--Daniel Dobish
