6 years agoSan Jose Sharks center Gustav Nyquist scored his first goal of the postseason in Game 1 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Colorado Avalanche on Friday. Nyquist was thrust into action on the team's top scoring line with Logan Couture and Timo Meier, taking the place of the injured Joe Pavelski (head) at the pivot. Nyquist, whom the team added at the NHL trade deadline from the Detroit Red Wings, also finished with a plus-one rating and two hits over 14:29 of ice time across 20 shifts. He'll look to keep it going in Game 2 on Sunday.--Daniel Dobish
