6 years agoThe Detroit Red Wings traded center Gustav Nyquist to the San Jose Sharks on Sunday for a second-round pick in the 2019 NHL Entry Draft and a conditional third rounder in 2020. The transaction came shortly after Nyquist scored his final goal with the winged wheel across his chest, and ironically his final game for the Red Wings was against the Sharks. For logistical purposes, it's great for Nyquist, as he simply needs to switch locker rooms and he can leave Motown with his new club for Tuesday's game in Boston. The Sharks are set for a three-game week in the upcoming period, and Nyquist should be good for all of them.--Daniel Dobish
