5 years agoNew York Yankees owner Hal Steinbrenner called the Yankees lack of everyday left-handed batters a concern, which is good news for first-baseman Mike Ford and outfielder Mike Tauchman. Despite posting an impressive .259/.350/.559 slash line last year, Ford will need to beat out Miguel Andujar and Luke Voit for playing time at first base and designated hitter this season. Similarly, Tauchman's .277/.361/.504 line doesn't guarantee him playing time in the crowded Yankees outfield. Given Steinbrenner’s comments, it seems likely that both Tauchman and Ford will receive semi-regular playing time in 2020, so DFS players should be on the lookout for good matchups.--Sam Chinitz
