6 years agoThe Baltimore Orioles are reportedly exploring the possibility of signing first baseman Hanley Ramirez, although it is unclear how much interest there actually is. Ramirez was recently released by the Red Sox even though he had a solid start to the season. Baltimore is currently deploying Chris Davis as their primary first baseman and he has by some measures had one of the worst hitting seasons in major league history. Davis's slash line of .152/.234/.236 over the course of 184 at-bats is abhorrent, especially with the fact that he only has four home runs to show for it. Hanley would be a welcome addition to a lowly Baltimore squad that is better off building for the future but still wants to fill seats in 2018.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
