Hansel Robles Completes Save Wednesday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Hansel Robles was given the save chance Wednesday night against the Tampa Bay Rays, and he locked it down in a scoreless inning of work. He gave up one hit and struck out two batters. Robles has managed to collect 12 saves on the year despite a 5.22 ERA. With Matt Barnes both demoted and on the COVID list, it's a wide-open back end of the Boston bullpen, with Adam Ottavino and Garrett Whitlock the primary competition for save chances. Without a guaranteed role, Robles is volatile enough that fantasy managers should avoid him for now.
