Hansel Robles Earns First Boston Save
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Hansel Robles was "excelente" Tuesday, according to manager Alex Cora. Robles entered the game in relief of Matt Barnes in the ninth inning with a two-run lead and two runners on, and he didn't allow either run to come around to score, giving up no runs and no hits with two strikeouts in an inning of work. Robles now has 11 saves on the year, but this was his first in Boston. With Matt Barnes struggling mightily, Robles might be in line for the next save opportunity, though Adam Ottavino would also be a candidate.
