Hanser Alberto Joins Dodgers
3 years agoFree-agent second baseman Hanser Alberto joined the Los Angeles Dodgers in spring camp on Tuesday. It's unclear if he's in camp on a major league or minor league deal. The 29-year-old spent last year with the Kansas City Royals, hitting .270/.291/.402 with two home runs, 24 RBI and 25 runs scored in 255 plate appearances over 103 games played. The utility infielder isn't guaranteed to have a spot on the Opening Day roster for a stacked Dodgers team. In his six big-league seasons, Alberto has slashed .276/.298/.383 with 17 home runs, 106 RBI and 136 runs scored in 385 games. Even if he makes LA's roster out of camp, he's one to ignore in mixed fantasy leagues.
