Harold Castro Sitting With Thumb Injury
2 years agoDetroit Tigers first baseman Harold Castro (thumb) is not in the starting lineup on Friday against the Los Angeles Angels. Castro was forced to leave Wednesday's game early with left thumb soreness, and he should be considered day-to-day for now. He's been solid for Detroit in 2022, slashing .280/.311/.402 with five home runs, 29 RBI and 31 runs scored in 296 at-bats. Jonathan Schoop is playing first base and will hit seventh on Friday against Angels left-hander Patrick Sandoval. Schoop will be a deep DFS sleeper on Friday with his .202/.235/.316 slash line and nine home runs, 33 RBI, 40 runs scored and five stolen bases in 421 at-bats.
