Harrison Bader Begins Hitting Off Tee
2 years agoNew York Yankees outfielder Harrison Bader (foot) has resumed hitting off a tee and is in a "10-day ramp-up" to begin playing in minor league games, according to skipper Aaron Boone. Bader is slowly recovering and could make his debut for the Yankees in the middle of September. It's good news for the Bombers with the postseason approaching, but Bader is unlikely to help fantasy managers much the rest of the way. The 28-year-old played in 72 games for the St. Louis Cardinals before being dealt to New York at the Aug. 2 trade deadline, and he was hitting .256/.303/.370 with five home runs, 21 RBI, 35 runs scored and 15 stolen bases in 264 plate appearances. When he's ready to play, he'll certainly give the Yankees a boost with his defense in center field and with his speed on the base paths.
