Harrison Bader Getting Closer To Rehab Assignment
2 years agoNew York Yankees manager Aaron Boone said that outfielder Harrison Bader (foot) will be doing a "full ramp-up" on Monday, and there is a target for his minor league rehab assignment to begin on Sept. 13, but the date could be moved up. Bader started hitting off a tee last week after recently resuming baseball activities. The 28-year-old hasn't played since June 26 and has yet to make his Yankees debut after being acquired from the St. Louis Cardinals at the Aug. 2 trade deadline. He'll offer the Yankees plenty of speed on the base paths and excellent defense in center field, but by the time he returns, he'll be of little use in fantasy to close out the regular season. In 246 at-bats in 2022, he's hit .256/.303/.370 with five home runs, 21 RBI, 35 runs scored and 15 stolen bases.
