Harrison Bader Scratched From Wednesday’s Lineup
4 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals outfielder Harrison Bader was a late scratch from the starting nine Wednesday against Kansas City and right-hander Jakob Junis due to a migraine. Tyler O’Neill will enter the lineup in his place and bat seventh. Bader has begun to heat up offensively since returning from his team's lay-off, having delivered seven extra-base hits in his first 16 games, good for a .568 SLG and 156 OPS+. Despite his presence at the bottom of the order, Bader holds DFS appeal moving forward as he swings a hot bat. St. Louis boasts a plethora of outfield options, which may limit his season-long appeal. Bader’s next chance to return to the lineup comes Thursday during a doubleheader against Pittsburgh right-handers Chad Kuhl and Cody Ponce.
