3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris allowed two runs, one earned, on three hits in the sixth inning of a loss to the Marlins on Wednesday. Neris was removed from the closer role last week and this performance isn't an encouraging sign for the right-hander. He's had a rough season with six blown saves already as his walk issues have resurfaced. Neris has a high 10.2 percent walk rate this season, not ideal for any reliever, let alone someone who had been pitching in high-leverage situations. Jose Alvarado seems to have the most trust from manager Joe Girardi at the moment and is the Philly reliever to roster in fantasy leagues that reward saves.
