4 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris blew his first save of the season Tuesday in a 10-9 loss to the Orioles. Neris allowed three earned runs, three hits, two walks and struck out two. Neris allowed a game-tying single to Renato Nunez to blow the save, but he should have been out of the inning as the Phillies infield let an easy pop-up fall untouched with two outs in the inning allowing two more runs to score. Despite the setback, Neris shouldn't be in danger of losing his job and remains one of the more secure closing options in fantasy baseball.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
