5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies relief pitcher Hector Neris allowed two hits but was able to nail down his 24th save of the season Sunday at the Mets. He allowed two of the first three batters faced to reach base which brought Pete Alonso up as the tying run. Neris was up for the challenge, however, and struck Alonso out before inducing a groundout from Michael Conforto to end the game. Neris lowers his ERA to 2.95 to go with the 24 saves and 80 strikeouts in 61 innings pitched. Fantasy owners should continue to start him with confidence in all leagues where saves are a category.--Mike Schwarzenbach - RotoBaller
