6 years agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Hector Velazquez pitched four shutout innings against the Cubs on Tuesday. He only allowed three hits, struck out two batters and walked one. Prior to spring training, Velazquez was a long shot to make the rotation. Due to injuries, he takes over the fourth spot in the rotation and has a favorable matchup against the Tampa Bay Rays to start the season.
