Hirokazu Sawamura Walks All Three Batters He Faces Saturday
3 years agoBoston Red Sox relief pitcher Hirokazu Sawamura had his worst outing of the season Saturday, entering with a three-run lead and two outs in the eighth inning and promptly walking the bases loaded before being pulled. Sawamura was fortunate that Adam Ottavino managed to record the third out without allowing any of the runners to score. He's largely been excellent, posting a 2.67 ERA, 1.35 WHIP, and 39 strikeouts in 30 1/3 innings, but with only four holds on the year, fantasy managers are better off looking elsewhere.
