4 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez could take it to the next level, according to hitting coach Frank Menechino. Jimenez has had a fine two seasons in Chicago, compiling 95 runs, 45 home runs, 120 RBI, and a .276 batting average in 177 career games. However, Menechino believes that the 24-year-old slugger could one day be a .320 hitter if he learns to "control the at-bat" more- or not be overaggressive. Jimenez's below-average zone percentage, outside-swing percentage, and swinging-strike rate suggest that pitchers don't throw him anything in the zone because they know he'll chase the outside offerings. Just 24 years old, Jimenez has plenty of time to develop as a hitter, making him appealing in keeper leagues. For 2021, Jimenez has slightly better value in roto formats, though his power and run-producing ability make him a wise selection in any format.--Tim Capurso
