6 years agoCincinnati Reds pitcher Homer Bailey appears to be done for the 2018 season. The open spot in the rotation for Sunday against the Marlins will either go to Michael Lorenzen or someone else in the bullpen, according to manager Jim Riggleman. "As far as starting, yeah," Riggleman said. "Homer has indicated that he can't relieve. Hard to think of something else to use him with." The veteran right-hander is making $21 million this year and has one year and $28 million left on his six-year deal, with a mutual option for 2020. Tyler Mahle (shoulder) also isn't a candidate to start Sunday. Both Bailey and Mahle can be ignored in fantasy leagues going into next season.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
