4 years agoChicago White Sox catcher/designated hitter Yermin Mercedes will receive a day off on Wednesday versus the Seattle Mariners. Mercedes has been one of the early surprises in the fantasy community and started the season 8-for-8. Mercedes overall is hitting an insane .542 with one home run and six RBI to go along with just three strikeouts in 23 at-bats. Mercedes has always hit in the minors and is hitting too well to not be owned in all formats at the moment. Catcher Zack Collins will be the designated hitter on Wednesday versus Justin Dunn and is coming off of a 2-for-5 performance with a home run on Wednesday.
