Howie Kendrick Taking Breather Wednesday
5 years agoWashington Nationals infielder Howie Kendrick is getting the game off against the Miami Marlins on Wednesday. The 35-year-old has proven to be valuable when he does get playing time this season, posting 39 runs, 12 home runs and 43 RBI with a .388 on-base percentage over 182 at-bats, which has been enough to hold value in slightly deeper mixed leagues. Matt Adams will man first and bat fifth against rookie right-hander Zac Gallen. Adams has hit nine of his 10 home runs against right-handed pitching this season and has four in his last seven games and could prove to be a very good play against the rookie.
