3 years agoAtlanta Braves starting pitcher Huascar Ynoa (hand) will head for a minor league rehab assignment Sunday after his simulated game on Tuesday went well, according to The Athletic. Ynoa will be stretched out to start again but manager Brian Snitker said that plan could change based on need. Ynoa has been out since the middle of May after breaking his hand when he punched a bench in the dugout after a rough outing. Prior to the injury though, he was putting up great numbers by going 4-2 with a 3.02 ERA, 1.052 WHIP and 27.9 percent strikeout rate over 44 2/3 innings. He's still a ways away from returning, but managers may want to look at stashing him on the IL now, as he could be productive for teams during the fantasy playoffs.--Josh Friedman
