Hunter Greene Goes On Injured List With Shoulder Strain
2 years agoThe Cincinnati Reds placed right-handed rookie Hunter Greene (shoulder) on the 15-day injured list on Friday with a right shoulder strain and recalled right-hander Ryan Hendrix from Triple-A Louisville in a corresponding move. The move to place Greene on the injured list is retroactive to Aug. 4. There is no timetable for the 22-year-old's return, but this late into the season, it's possible that he doesn't make it back for a bad Reds team that has nothing left to play for in 2022. He's been useful in fantasy for his strikeout rate (28.8%), but he's also sporting a 5.26 ERA (4.95 FIP), 1.29 WHIP and 41 walks in 102 2/3 innings over 20 starts in his first major league season. Stash Greene for now in all fantasy formats, but be prepared for the possibility that we don't see him again this year.
