7 years agoCincinnati Reds No. 2 prospect Hunter Greene (elbow) was placed on the disabled list in the minor leagues with a sprained ulnar collateral ligament in his right elbow. He won't pitch again this season. The right-handed pitcher is at risk of needing Tommy John surgery at some point, which would set him back for a full year. Greene had a 4.48 ERA, 1.30 WHIP and 89 strikeouts in 68 1/3 innings over 18 starts for Single-A Daytona this season in his first taste of professional baseball.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
